Six Ways You Can Save Money on Airport Parking

When you plan your overseas holidays there are lot of other extras to be booked other than hotel accommodation and air tickets. Airport transfers, airport parking, sightseen and attraction tickets, airport lounge. All these extras are going to cost you more and sometimes you may try to cut down from most important elements if you are unaware of ways which can save money.

Let’s see how we can cut down and save money on Airport parking.

  1. Book off-site airport parking

It is exceptionally helpful and convenient to park at the airport and you can pick either long stay or short stay contingent upon how long you are going on your holiday. It is extremely costly contrast with off-site airport parking. Yet, that is the value you pay for the comfort and convenience. If you still want to book the parking at the airport then check which car park would suite you better, (long stay or short stay).

  1. Choose Park and Ride.

If you choose park and ride airport parking over meet and greet or valet parking then you can save some money on this as well. Park and ride is relatively low but you need to check what exactly you are paying for cause there can be other charges. Please refer http://www.tripadvisor.com/Travel-g186338-c222571/London:United-Kingdom:London.Guide.To.Park.And.Ride.html for more information.

  1. Pre-book your airport parking

You can always save money if you pre-book your airport parking rather than driving to the airport and then look for the parking option available at that particular time. Your demand is high so you have to pay a higher price and sometimes you may not get a parking spot. Most of the car parks may not have space available so you may have to contact few car parks. This may take time a considerable amount of time. Remember! There is a plane to catch!!!  Do not just reserve your parking spot but pay and get a confirmation.

  1. Book well in advance

If you can plan your holiday at least 7 to 8 months ahead then you can reserve and book your airport parking at the same time. When the demand is high and  space get limited so the rates are increased by the car parks. If you can book your airport parking a year ahead, then book because every year the rates get increased.

  1. Avoid Peak times

During holiday seasons, everybody is planning their holidays. During summer holidays schools are close and all are ready to go on their holidays. Avoid such holidays because you will be paying more as the demand is high. You will be able to save up to 60% if you can avoid these holidays.

  1. Look out for low rates

Even during the peak seasons such as summer or Christmas holidays there are certain days where rates are low. Sometimes your parking provider may not tell you this so you have to check for these days by yourself. However  like our Merry Parking Facebook page  and you will be able to find these days 🙂  Our team is keeping an eye on these days so check our Facebook updates  🙂
